Project evolution
Work on the project began in 2019 by a team of several people at the Science and Technology Studies (STS) Center at the European University at St. Petersburg. In 2020, the team received a grant from the Russian Science Foundation, which expired in early 2023. Website development began in the summer of 2023. Over the course of four years, the team worked on collecting, analyzing, and visualizing the data.
